The Journal of Oriental Design is a Chinese (traditional) international academic journal of design, jointly sponsored by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Oriental Design Group. It publishes design theory and in-depth review articles about classic design cases, featuring professional papers on classic cases of Oriental design and Oriental design science. The journal is the same as the International Journal of Design Science, which is the journal of the International Society for Design Science (ISDS), and is anonymously reviewed by the editorial board and peers. The journal is published under the International Standard Serial Number ISSN 2789-8989 (online) and ISSN 2789-8970 (print). It is published online, while the China Book Import and Export Corporation Shanghai Branch is responsible for the domestic and international publication and distribution of the paper version. The journal is published quarterly.
